Look at the problem first, then agree the work
The call-out covers attendance and assessment of the drainage problem you report. It tells you what is affecting the sink, toilet or outside drain, so that any clearance can be described and priced from what was found.
Clearance is not part of the call-out. It is priced separately after the assessment, and nothing starts until you have agreed the scope and the price.
A sink that drains slowly or not at all
Kitchen, bathroom and utility sinks are all covered. When you get in touch, say which sink it is and what the water does when it runs, so the visit starts with the right fitting.
The assessment looks at the sink and the waste pipework serving it. If clearance is needed, you receive the quote before any work begins.

A toilet that will not clear
Describe what the toilet is doing and which one it is, particularly in a property with more than one. Mention whether any other fitting in the property is also draining badly.
That detail helps separate a problem at one fitting from one further along the drain. The call-out assesses the reported problem, and any clearance is quoted afterwards.

Gullies, yard drains and covers
Say where the drain is, such as the back yard, the side passage or beside a downpipe, and what you can see at the surface. A note on whether the cover or grating is clear to reach helps us plan the visit.
Outside drains often need access through a gate, a shared passage or a neighbouring path. Put those arrangements in your request.

What to put in your request
- The affected fitting. Which sink, which toilet, or where the outside drain is, and what it is doing.
- The postcode. The postcode of the property the blockage is at.
- Access arrangements. How we get in, who will be there, and any gate, passage or parking points.
Requests are answered during working hours, and visits are confirmed directly with you.
Arranging entry with a tenant
If you let the property, you can name your tenant as the person providing access. Give their name and a contact number in the access section of the request, and say when they are usually home. We then confirm the visit directly with the person who will let us in.
